<title>Snow comes again!</title>
<description>My parents were here for a month. Since the flight arrived at 6.00 am, we had to depart for Zurich very early morning. Plan dalam pukul 3.00 am - 3-hour drive. At 1200 mid-night opened the window then...it's snowing!! lebat dan semakin lebat...gosh..tayar winter pun tak tukar lagi :-S. It's snow all the way from Geneva till Zurich. Paling lebat when we about to reach Bern...berani drive dalam 80-90km/h ajer.

Cut the story short..malas nak citer panjang-panjang.The nearby mountains (esp. Jura) already were covered with snow. So, first weekend bawak pergi St. Cergue...Wow!!! the snow really thick (until my knee!)and soft.

The boys, yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

St. Cergue

Saint-Cergue is located at 1041 m at the entrance to the Col de la Givrine, to the east of the impressive Jura peak of La Dôle. Its situation, high above Lake Geneva, offers wonderful wide views of the whole alpine chain as far as Mont Blanc. The main attractions of this resort are the peaceful landscape of the Jura and the fresh, scented air of the extensive forests.

It was in the middle of the 19th century that this village in the Jura developed into an alpine spa, being given an additional boost in 1916 with the construction of the railway. The narrow-gauge railway follows a pretty route over 20 km from the shores of Lake Geneva in Nyon, twisting round numerous bends up to Saint-Cergue and then on over the Col de la Givrine as far as the Swiss border at La Cure, the end of the line. </description>

<title>Black Forest, GERMANY (Triberg) - DAY 2</title>
<description>Here we go! Second day we woke up a bit early because dah plan nak keluar awal-awal pagi to Triberg. It's just 1 1/2 hours from Frieburg. Checked out our hotel at 9.00 am, masa tu still foggy.

Stopped at a few places while on the way..nak snap gambar sebenarnya..hehehe... :-D. I really enjoyed the green, hilly, beautiful Black Forest. mmm one more thing..kalau pergi Black Forest without bringing back the cuckoo clock...better dont go. Just order it from ebay habis cerita!

Triberg

It is a little town located on the slopes of a deep valley. A popular excursion destination in the surroundings of Triberg is the Stocklewaldturm.

The WORLD LARGEST Cuckoo clock ticks in the clock park in Schonachbach below Triberg. The clock-work mechanism made out of limewood measures an impressive 4.50 x 4.50 metres. The pendulum weights 100 kg.

<description>First day raya schedule penuh ngan jemputan open house..mula ngan rumah Ambassador till 3.00 pm then to rumah Pn. Hiswani --> Fauzi --> Hj. Brahim. By the time finished rumah Hj dah pukul 8.00 pm..dah tak larat nak makan dah arrr..Balik terus rumah..then zzzzzzzzzz..till morning.

Saturday pun ada open house lagi..afternoon rumah kak Aishah and then went to rumah Munawar from Singapore.

Since Sunday no open house, we planned to go to Black Forest (have heard 'Black Forest cake'? :-) )specifically Freiburg, Germany. People said this is the Cuckoo clock's town. You could find many choices of Cuckoo clock there. So on Sunday's morning, we headed there. Ibu bangun awal as usual to prepare foods and some other things.

Arrived Freiburg at 2.00 pm after 4 hours driving. After check-in hotel we all jalan-jalan in Freiburg town. Nice town! :-> Sejukkkk the temp was 10 degree.

FREIBURG
It is a University Town and cultural centre of the Breisgau, is a major centre that has nevertheless retained a great deal of small town's charm. This town is examplary in its use of solar anergy.

<title>One Sunday morning in Geneva</title>
<description>This morning we went to Annemasse, France to buy some Halal chicken and few other stuff. I bought about 10 kilo at Euro 21.00 and 2 kilo of beef at Euro 14.00. These can be considered as cheap compared to the price of chicken in Ferney where I used to buy (just 10 minutes drive from home) ...setakat nak beli 2-3 kilo malas nak drive sampai 15 km to Annemasse.

Tonight we are going to Muzalmah and Pian's house for berbuka puasa and next week Hari Raya Aidilfitri..tu yang kena beli ayam banyak-banyak tu.. :->

On the way back..as usual singgah WTO sebab nak bawak budak-budak pergi playground. Si Ashraf ni nak pergi playground..sebut-sebut dari dalam kereta lagi. Ashraf suka sangat main daun-daun yang banyak gugur.. :->

<title>CWR</title>
<description>This entry would be a bit off-topic. Other than my http://www.kln.gov.my/perwakilan/geneva/agency(office) at ICC, this is my 'second office'... sometimes am here five days a week, sometimes four, three, two days a week for meetings...tak tentu. If lucky enough, 0-day a week heheh. So far, no meetings (yet!!) on Monday, 16th October.. So, boleh sambung raya lagi on Monday. Ada a few non-muslim colleagues nak buat meeting on Monday, but my friend from Pakistan said NO!

Sometimes, on weekend I bring my kids here around 5.00 pm for rollerblading or jalan2 or used to park my car here when Ibu wants to go to Viet Thai shop or Hairil &amp; Izan's house. Si Afif yang baru pandai jalan tu soooo happy jalan sendiri dan dah tak nak dukung-dukung dah..baru tahu berjalanlah katakan. :-D

Last weekend managed to park C4GP car near the WTO entrance...angkat tangan kat pak guard yang jaga pintu..then he replied. Turun cepat-cepat then snapped a fews pics...bukan senang ooo because it's a restricted area..berjaya jugak! :-D hehe.

<title>A day in Annecy, France</title>
<description>Today is a public holiday in Geneva - 'Geneva Fast'. We took this opportunity to go to Annecy, France. Annecy is not that far, it's about 60km from Geneva. Since Husney and Lia just arrived in Geneva about a month and have no car as yet, we were more than happy to go with them. Just nice for our C4GP.

Ibu woke-up very early that morning to prepare some sandwiches and mee hoon. We started at 10.00 am then arrived in Annecy about lunch time. Since it was Monday, not that difficult to find a parking space in Annecy. Parked our car then we walked towards the Annecy Lake. We found an empty seat just near the lake...then..yummy! yummy!..

Annecy is quite an old city and beautiful..really beautiful.

Annecy (France) is located between Geneva and Chambéry. Thus its history was strongly influenced by these two towns between the 10th and the 19th century. Starting as the capital of the county of Geneva, after the demise of the counts of Geneva, it became integrated into the House of Savoie in 1401.

Annecy is one of the most beautiful and popular resort towns of the French Alps, though the tourist traffic can get a bit wearing in high season. Historically, it enjoyed a brief flurry of importance in the early sixteenth century, when Geneva opted for the Reformation and the fugitive Catholic bishop decamped here with a train of ecclesiastics and a prosperous, cultivated elite.

<title>The real COLMAR!</title>
<description>When we entered the city..wow...it's beautiful!. No wonder many love to go to Bukit Tinggi to see the dummy of Colmar. I never been there. The whole city is very colourful and unique with its buldings, houses, shop houses n churches...wonderful!! It's worth driving three hours all the way from Geneva to Colmar.

Colmar is 40 miles (64 kilometers) south-southwest of Strasbourg, France. The well-preserved old city center houses several, sometimes large-scale buildings in German Gothic and early Renaissance style, as well as a number of old churches, among which the collégiale Saint-Martin (13th-16th century) is the largest and most noteworthy.
